Extremely comfortable self contained apartment, comprises 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Fully fitted kitchen. Living room with TV, video and DVD. Terrace with BBQ and garden & large trampoline! The property has amazing sea views, and is only 2 minutes to the beach and communal swimming pool. Children's play park. Restaurants nearby and small supermarket. Ideal for windsurfers, surfers, cyclists and walking holidays. The apartment is also has wheelchair access.

Recommendations / Local Activity:
The main attraction at Famara has to be the beach, whilst not suitable for swimming; it is a surfer’s paradise. The working village of La Caleta de Famara is found at one end of the beach, this is predominately a fishing village that boasts some great tapas bars and restaurants to relax in. Famara cliffs dominate the other end of the beach and are some 450m high. Owner's Tips... Ideally situated on famara beach, a paradise for water sports including surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing. Schools and instruction available for both surfing and kite surfing locally. A 2 minute drive to Caleta de Famara which has an array of restaurants specialising in locally caught fish and Spanish cuisine. Great for walking and cycling and only 10 minutes drive to the historic town of Teguise. Only minutes drive away from a favorite hang gliding take off in Lanzarote

About: Caleta de Famara

Caleta de Famara/Famara can be found on the north west coast on Lanzarote and is set in a very dramatic and beautiful location. Famara is something of an alternative village, away from the tourist route so shoul you want to experience a holiday away from the normal tourist areas of Lanzarote then Famara is definately worth a visit!
Famara has an 8km golden, sandy beach with small sand dunes and the impressive steep cliffs of El Risco as a back-drop - On some sunset evenings the cliffs can be seen to turn an amazing orange colour.
At the foot of the cliffs are where the majority of rental properties exist consisting of Bungalows, apartments and Villas.
The beach at Famara is an ideal location to relax and soak up some Lanzarote sunshine.

Famara also has a quaint little harbour where you can watch the fishermen bringing in their catches of fresh fish daily.

There's plenty to do in Famara and the nearby fishing village of Caleta de Famara, offering an array of activities all year round. Popular activities include: Hang gliding, Paragliding, Kite-surfing and general surfing.
Hang gliding and Paragliding are best in the winter as there are lighter winds and better thermals while Kite surfing and surfing are better in the summer when the trade winds start to blow and create some exciting waves to surf.
In the fishing village of Caleta de Famara only a short distance away are a small number of restaurants and bars. The complex of bungalow in Famara itself also has a restaurant and bar on site as well as a communal swimming pool.

Access to the village of Famara is mainly by sandy tracks and the beach is wild and left to nature. There is a complex of bungalows which climbs the slope which can be rented and make a fantastic holiday get away.

A hire car or taxi ride is recommended should you wish to sample some Lanzarote Nightlife in the nearby capital of Arrecife, to explore the nice bars and restaurants of the old capital of Teguise or should you wish to travel a little further to the town of Nazaret.
